The children, staff and governors of Samuel Lucas JMI, welcome you to our school. Samuel Lucas JMI, named after a local artist and built in the heart of Hitchin in 1974, is now in an exciting phase of expansion to a two-form entry school. The school is situated in an area a short walking distance from the Historical Hitchin Market town but also within close proximity of the beautiful Hertfordshire countryside. We enhance our skills-based curriculum by making the very best use of the community around us. Our school ethos of the 3 Cs - Care, Cooperate and Contribute, is at the core of everything we do. As a result, the behaviour and positive attitudes create a calm, working environment where children are ready for learning.
